So, awhile back I was reading in an issue of The Horse (backstreet chopper) magazine, about the book "The Original Wild Ones" - Tales of the Boozefighters Motorcycle Club. This was after seeing Wino WIllies restored Crocker here at the Bellingham Museum. Well, I happened to find a used copy and snatched it up. I read the thing in about a week (which is really fast for me). I then started doing some online research and made contact with Jim Quattlebaum (BFMC National Historian). I asked him if I could send my copy down for his signature. "Sure", he said, "I'll take it to the club house next time." Well, a month or so later this package arrives from Texas and I was stunned. Jim sure enough got a few signatures for me, it covered the first six pages, with the majority in green sharpie!!!
Anyway, I felt it was time to send a proper 'thank you' and this is what I did......

They're not, like, AGAINST booze, are they?
Uuuhhh, no.....you'll have to read the book jennifer. I can let you borrow mine, but I'll need some collateral.
The term "booze fighter" originated in the 1800s and fell out of common use in by the '50s. It is meant to describe a man who 'fights' the bottle; an alcoholic.
But I didn't need to tell you that, did I Yank? :-)
OWOF!
